Shipping Policy
We aim to get your chai into your hands — and your cup — as quickly as possible. Here's everything you need to know about how we ship.
4.1 Order Processing
Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding Australian public holidays. Please allow 1–3 business days for us to hand-pack your order before dispatch. During peak periods (e.g. holidays, new product launches), processing may take up to 5 business days.
4.2 Domestic Shipping — Australia
Standard Shipping
- Orders dispatched within 1–3 business days
- Estimated delivery: 2–7 business days from dispatch
- Remote or rural addresses: allow up to 14 business days
Free Shipping Threshold
- Free standard shipping on all Australian orders over $100
- Orders under $100 incur a flat shipping fee (calculated at checkout)
Express Shipping
- Express options are available at checkout for an additional fee
- Estimated delivery: 1–3 business days from dispatch
4.3 International Shipping
We ship internationally to selected countries. International shipping rates and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight.
- Estimated international delivery: 7–21 business days from dispatch
- Customs, duties, and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient
- Some products may be restricted by customs in certain countries; please check your local import rules before ordering
Mamma Chai is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.
4.4 Authority to Leave (ATL)
If you select 'Authority to Leave' at checkout, our courier may leave your parcel in a safe place at the delivery address. Once delivered as recorded by the carrier, risk of loss may pass to you. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
4.5 Tracking Your Order
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this to track your parcel directly through the carrier's website.
4.6 Incorrect Address
Please double-check your delivery address before completing checkout. If your order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for re-shipping costs. If you notice an error immediately after ordering, contact us at orders@mammachai.com.au as soon as possible and we will do our best to update it before dispatch. 4.7 Late, Lost, or Damaged Parcels
If your order hasn't arrived within 10 business days of the estimated delivery date, or arrives damaged, please contact us at orders@mammachai.com.au with your order number and (where applicable) photographs of the damage. We will work with the carrier to investigate and resolve the issue in accordance with the ACL.
4.8 Local Pickup
Local pickup may be available by arrangement for customers in our local area. Please contact us to arrange this before placing your order.
