About Mamma Chai
Mamma Chai began with a desire to create a sense of connection and comfort with authentic and wholesome chai.
I wanted to make blends that made the drinker feel nurtured and cared for. Chai had always been that for me. A homely ritual, lovingly handmade, the deep fragrant aroma filling the air as the pot of chai slow boiled on the stovetop.
Chai always invoked a deep sense of feeling. Creating moments of connection, healing and holding space for myself and others.
When I founded Mamma Chai as a new mum navigating the uncertainty of parenthood, that ritual took on an even deeper meaning. Sharing chai made with clean ingredients and spices became a way to pause, reconnect, and support wellbeing amidst the busyness of everyday life. People didn’t just enjoy the taste; they felt the warmth behind it. Conversations opened up and stories were shared. People kept coming back; not just for the taste, but for the way it made them feel.
Those little moments of connection became the essence of what is now Mamma Chai.
Before founding Mamma Chai, I spent over a decade working as an Embryologist. This was a career that deeply shaped my respect for care, precision and nurturing. That love for helping others and valuing quality, balance and integrity are principles at the heart of every blend.
Mamma Chai brings together science and tradition. It isn’t about mass production or artificial ingredients. It’s about care, honesty, and presence. Each blend is hand-crafted with love, guided by ancestral wisdom and Ayurvedic tradition. Mum-made here in Australia, thoughtfully blended for everyday people who value wellness, warmth and a good cuppa- wherever it finds you on your journey.
