About Mamma Chai
Hi, I'm Vashi
Mamma Chai began with a simple idea. To share authentic chai that brings connection and a moment to pause.
Every blend is handcrafted in small batches here in Australia using premium organic tea and spices, inspired by my Indian heritage, my studies in Ayurveda, and a lifelong belief that caring for others can begin with something as simple as a warm cup of chai.
"A cup of chai has always been my way of slowing down and connecting."
Where it all began
Growing up in an Indian family, chai was never just a drink.
It was how we welcomed people in, gathered around the kitchen table and shared stories. The aroma of spices gently simmering on the stove still reminds me of home.
Those moments taught me that chai has a way of bringing people together.
"The best conversations often begin with a warm cup in your hands."
Why I started Mamma Chai
When I became a mum, those moments became even more important.
Life was busier and often unpredictable. Making a cup of chai became a small act of care. A chance to pause and reset before stepping back into the day.
That feeling is what I wanted to share through Mamma Chai.
"Sometimes the smallest pause can make the biggest difference."
Science meets tradition
Before founding Mamma Chai, I spent more than 15 years working as an Embryologist.
That career taught me the importance of precision, quality and genuine care. Alongside my studies in Ayurveda, it inspired me to create blends that honour both traditional wisdom and a thoughtful, evidence informed approach to wellbeing.
For me, science and tradition don't compete. They complement one another.
Today
Every Mamma Chai blend is made with ingredients I'm proud to share with my own family and friends.
No artificial flavours. No unnecessary fillers. Just premium organic tea, whole spices and blends crafted with care.
Whether it's your first cup of the morning or a quiet moment at the end of the day, I hope Mamma Chai brings you a little moment of comfort and connection.
Thank you for being here.
